Default Filling cavity in jeep crawler body

Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this but I couldn't see a relevant area for this query.
My son has a New Bright 1:6 crawler jeep that I am doing up for him as he wants to keep it. The chassis is made up of one piece of moulded plastic that the axles etc are bolted to, there is a relatively large cavity in the chassis that I want to fill. This is firstly to level it off so that I can have a flat surface to fit esc, receiver etc but also I want to make the whole thing more rigid/strong. Any filler I use must have strong adhesive properties so that it bonds to the cavity walls and wont work loose. I was thinking of using expanding glue like Gorilla but wasnt sure whether that would work . If I make a temporary "lid" for the cavity and inject glue through a sealable hole presumably this would contain the expansion and work ?
Any ideas welcome.
Picture shows the cavity.
