I would look at the best radio you can afford, and then borrow more money to buy the next better one.
Seriously though, it's hard to beat the 9C for versatility and bang-for-the-buck. The Europeans might know how to build a better (maybe) radio, but they need to lower their snout from the stratosphere and sell them at more realistic prices here in the States. I too hope their new Korean bosses will help with that.
The Multiplex prices in Tower's website don't look too bad, but still no 50MHz support.
