Agreed - QM40 engine will get you some good top end, but launch is a little tricky. Not impossible. Some folks have had some amazing results.
More traditional FIRE type engine will get you tons of speed and a little more margin on launch since you have a bit more flexibility on prop selection.
Ultimately, the question is how fast do you wish to go ?
