RE: 31% Fokker Dr-1 Scratch Build
I am working on the elevators now, the leading edge is a 3/8" hardwood dowl laminated to a 3/8" square balsa. I am using two brass tubes slipped over the dowl as a bearing surface at the hinge points. The hinge well be made from 1/2"wide brass strip wraped around the bearing and attached to the stabalizer like on the airlons, or you can use standard hinges.
