Default RE: Heaviest WWII Warbird flown with a G62?

ORIGINAL: Loopman

Hey Guys, I was wondering what the heaviest warbird is that someone has successfully flown with a G62? I have a Vailly Aviation 92 inch P-47 with a G-62, total AUW is 38 lbs. I cannot afford to upgrade the engine but maybe I don't need to. I am not looking for a speed demon, just want to fly the pattern at our warbird meets. Let's hear some of the successes and opinions on propping, desired RPM, fuel, etc...

Thanks and Happy Flying!

You've got almost $3000 in one of Roy Vaillancourts warbirds, and you cant afford an engine upgrade? That plane is crying for a moki 150 which will fly that plane scale, but the Vailly and Ziroli are the same size and the G-62 will fly both well.
