Default RE: Heaviest WWII Warbird flown with a G62?

I put the DA 50/ G-62 battle to bed a few years ago in the gas engine forum. Everybody likes to post that the light engines are more powerful because the specs on the internet say so. I did a test using the same 22/10 prop and a g-62 turned over 500 more RPM. the only problem with a g-62 is the stock muffler. DON'T USE IT! G-62 advertised power output is with it's stock muffler, DA/DLE advertised power is with a good wrap around that breathes easily. Don't be cheap and buy a good wraparound muffler. With a good broken in engine you will easily see 7k and better. Keep in mind I fly at only 70 feet above sea level so depending on location your numbers will be different.
