This comment is not really directed at anyone but I have seen where someone will swap a larger engine and a tuned performance pipe on the same plane having previously flown it with the smaller engine and while the sound in the air may be enormous, the sound sometimes has the effect of speed; the two stroke unloading at high pitch just sounds fast. Traps or some type of speed recording device helps.
