Maybe the coil being "newer" than the older pre-2009 original one explains why the shield is no longer grounded maybe...would the newer 2.4ghz radio's not be bothered by RF?...I still think that it should be re-soldered as found...Thanks Maxam for the input...we thinking on the same page....I'll get up the pics on the resistor in the cap in a bit....Bill
