The E-Flite 25 works well for a trainer. A more powerful, heaver and larger motor will make the Alpha 40 behave more like a pattern A/C. Mounting the larger motor will require some work.
With the 25, you end up adding 6-8 Oz. of weight to the nose, or moving the wing back about an inch. The larger motors may eliminate the extra weights.
While you are at it, shim the nose gear bracket to the front. This gives more clearance for the control horn.
