Lets answer your questions:

Regarding nose weight, cant fully remember but it was a couple of Lbs but my all up weight was 24Lbs

Control throws as per book and CofG

Yes Canopy/Cannon humps were but I took my time and came out OK. I always line my wheel wells, see pic.

I also cut away part of the underside as the exhausts would catch, I made a small hatch and installed my Batts and Ignition

I have placed a couple of pics of my installation if it helps.
