Default RE: Big Hots?

Not to thread hi-jack....

But I just received my Big Hots (91") short kit I had cut from plans and it will be hitting the table soon. I also have the Ultra Hots short kit here and will be working on that sometime in the future.

My question was on engine size.

Will a ST G3250 power the 91" BigHots effectively? I have one on the shelf that needs a home.

I am trying to decide on the 3.2Hp / 1.99cu in 2.7lb G3250 or a 3.7Hp / 1.86cu in / 2.4lb DLE30 gasser for the Big Hots. Then someone chimed in and said put a 5.5Hp / 3.39cu in / 3.6lb DLE55 on it! I think that may be too much motor. The plans on the Big Hots calls for 1.5 or larger (shows 1.8 or G62 on Santich's website, I think the G62 is too heavy).

Any GiantScale guys out there willing to add some insight to this guessing game?

Big Hots -
