RE: Saito 300 twin or CRRC 55 twin?
I'm in the gas camp too. I've swapped out all of my 90 and higher glow (especially 2-cycle glow) for gas or electric. I've been running older Quadra,Zenoah ,etc.. on my large planes and they run great. Tune it and forget it for the most part. I have a few newer engines along with a CRRC 40 on my Ultra Stick and it runs great with an 18-8/14 prop. They may not sound as "sweet" as a Saito but the cost savings in fuel and maintenance is enough to get over it.
