Default RE: How to rejuvenate a long stored OS 1.08 ?

ORIGINAL: spinner

I have an old O.S. 1.08 that I put up 15 years ago and now want to use it again. I can't turn the engine over nor rotate the throttle barrel (haven't tried very hard for fear of damaging). The engine was run dry and treated with WD-40 before storing but obviously there has been some gellation of this over the years. What is the best method to free up the bearings ect? I have heard about soaking the engine case and carb (minus any O-rings) in automatic transmission fluid. Thoughts on that method? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Auto trans fluid should not affect "O" rings.
