Chines on the floats, are the really necessary? Only time I have seen them is in plastic molded floats. I have been told not to bother with them so I didn't put them on but the thought keeps running around my head, should I or shouldn't I??
A "hard" or "sharp" corner between the bottom and side surfaces of the hull make the water unstick the floatsurface and improve the planning properties of the float. I guess pronounced "chines" on plastic moldet floats are there to compensate for a corner with a to large radius.
