Default RE: Galeb G2 - new jet made in Serbia

Thank you Kimhey, Galeb will be in the air no later than May...

Rich, thank you too, on kind words...

New year start working and as I told, on first working day I sent file to my friend Dragan who cut all parts for elevator, rudder and end of the fuselage.
Before pictures of the parts, here is how everything looks on the drawing...

Same evening, Dragan bring me all parts...

I was very satisfied how everything fits. This few parts are compound without glue...

Rudder leading edge...

Rear part of the fuselage...

Part of rudder construction...

Elevator was first part which I made in this part of building. Because everything was cut on laser cut machine, all parts fits very well.
Trailing edge was 5 mm wide balsa reinforced with 3 mm ply in the middle...

First I glued ribs from the middle of the elevator. I used white glue, and always check alignment...

Soon every rib was on position...

Before glue was complete dry, I add front part which connect all ribs and made alignment in the front of the elevator...

On that part come three 3 mm balsa plates which will care leading edge...

While the glue dries on elevator, I glued few other parts...

When glue was dry I take down elevator from the working table. Unfortunately I brake small part of rib number 3. That rib was made from ply and in that rib will come servo.
Between rib 3 and 4 I glued two, on every side of the elevator, small hard wood for fixing servo doors...

Than I put balsa plank to check how it lie down... This balsa was cut on laser cut machine also...

Everythin was perfect, so I glued it...

In mean time I start working on elevator moving parts...

On elevator glue get dry, so I turn this part to check how lie other side...

As you can see, everything fit perfect...

I have few small work to do inside of the elevator, so I leave balsa planks for now. Next was to try how part of the fuselage, which come through elevator, fit...

Bottom side...

And finally for today, moving elevator parts...

To be continued...
