Whirl,

It's not so much physical size of the motor that matters, it's the wattage which you are aware of. Also,
the plane is so light in it's construction, all balsa, that I did need some extra weight in the nose battery
compartment to get the correct CG. You can see some of the little lead weights in these photos.

Also, I found it helped the air flowover the battery toopen a small hole in the nose as you can see.
