RE: Top Flite GS P-47 sports scale; diary of a build
Day Three and I havedecided to go with the Sierra retracts. I am allso going to attempt to do a completely replicated tail section on the hinge line and the control linkages. I did a good job doing that on my 60 size jug but it was hard because of the small scale. The elevator will have hinges made from G-10 and laminated to ply. I dont know the size untill I start building the tail. Ther will only be two hinges per side as the full scale. I will be using some carbon fiber inthetail. I have it pretty much worked out and have one last detail to come up with. I want to have removable ruder and elevator so I have some detail that will come out in the wash as I build. Here are some pics of the tail I want to replicate.
