I think if you accept the fact that that although these micro's are driveway fun, you're not going to get high quality at the price you want to pay. However, if you're handy with this hobby, I think you can improve the reliabilty and performance without too much trouble or expense.
On that link, they have the ones left in stock down to $122 and $129. We all have different budgets, but it appears to me that's not an expensive risk to take. No doubt those Exceed Blurs are better than the VTX I bought. They look like fun. If I didn't already have a micro-buggy, I'd buy one although I'd do a little Google research first. I don't expect the quality to be all that good, but neither would I want something terribly crappy either.
