Default RE: heli vs. aircraft 7ch radio difference

ORIGINAL: badassissimo I was about to start a new thread when I saw this. So a helicopter and airplane radio are basically the same except for how the toggles and gimbals are assigned or how they move?
Just checking before I buy one. Need something for a submarine.
I hear I need a surface radio but haven't seen any difference except that the controls work different between radios and I need mhz. Not Ghz.
thanks, Nick
1. Heli &Acro Tx are the same units except that a ery few brands (notably Futaba) have switches in different places
- very easy to change if ever required.
Majority of modern Tx have user assignable switches so no longer matters.

2. The lower the frequency, the further the range on/under water.
Consider how whales, dolphins etc communicate - very low frequency
. Whale Songs - listen.
(more info under "Cetacean watch - Dolphin, Orca and Whales + Kelly Tarlton's." bottom of my webpage)

Reason most RC boats, yachts etc still use 27 & 29 MHz, good RCG thread
. Frequencies and Controlling RC Subs
