Picco .80 FIRE pattern engine
Hi guys. I'm finally out of surgery that will only keep me from flying a few more days.
The good news: A friend is offering me an engine I have no expereince with. It is a Picco .80 FIRE PATTERN engine from the 80's. It is in a .60 case, same size as my Rossi .80. It comes with a header and pipe, all from PICCO.
Anyone have a comment regarding using this one for a speed sport plane? I would like to get around 14K on a 11x11 or close to 15K on a CF 10x12. If not, I wouldn't get it as he is asking some decent bucks for it. It looks almost new (probably is new) and has a ton of compression.
Please advise.
