Default RE: New Evolution Engines!! 15GX, 20GX, 33GX

ORIGINAL: Pete Bergstrom

All the engines have needle bearings on the bottom of the conrods. The 15,20 & 33cc need 25:1 oil for break-in and then can go to 32:1 after that. The ignition draws about 450 may at wide open throttle. Any battery between 4.8 and 8.4 volt is usable without any regulator (2S LiPo ready)

Pete
I looked at their 33cc...a handsome engine with its blue head. Engineering specs is where it's at tho. Bore and stroke are very similar to the DLE35RA and PTE36R.

It's rather interesting that the engine has both mounting side lugs for bearer mounting and rear lugs for stand off mounting. That'sone reasonthe engine is heavier than others in this class, at least 4 ozs heavier.

I really like the one nut prop mount like glow engines which the SAP180HP and OS GT33 also use. No more screwey screws...a great thing in my view. The price is pretty good too.

It will be interesting to hear how this one works out for people....
