In the case of the carpet service analogy; what would be the case if you had customers that bought their carpet from you and had you install it needing service in the future? Would they come before or after someone who got product and service elsewhere and are probably only calling you because their original installer is too busy or out of business? How would your customers feel about future business with you if you were unable to handle their needs because you were so busy supporting people who did not buy from you?
