Default RE: General Radio Freq/crystal question.

ORIGINAL: Pajo

Newbie here.
I see that Europe/Uk Txs are 35mhz and U.S. Txs are 72 mhz.

But my question is, are a U.S. radio and a U.K radio identical apart from the crystal.

i.e if I got a Tx from the U.S. ( I know the chargers are different voltage)
would it be ok in the UK if I replace the crystal with a 35mhz one.
OR are the radio hardware different.
No, the TX modules are different it is not just a matter of changing Xtals.
Even among the 35 MHz TXs different Xtals are required. You must use the manufacturers Xtals for the TX to be on frequency and work properly.
