Not to hi-jack your thread but I woke up this morning in a good mood and thought why not go ahead and give the ol warhead one more chance
. So pulled the .27 apart and made sure nothing was rusted or bent etc. Suprisingly this motor still has a good amount of compression so being the fool I am charged up the ignitor, rx pack and installed a new glow plug. Filled her up with 20% odonnel and started going through the process..... Well sometime later finally came to the conclusion it was hopeless lol.
Wasted a good part of a nice Sunday messing with this motor and can promise that it will never happen again

Second gear still work in your truck after the conversion ? Curious how that has worked out.
