RE: bad lipo
If you have the experience and the correct solder and materials you can remove the bad cell and easily turn it into a 3-cell pack. Or you can replace that bad cell with a good one. You can wire the cells in series too but it depends what size lipo it is (capacity and discharge rates) if it will work on a car.
Whatever you do make sure the packs are at discharge levels and BE CAREFUL !
