REVOLUTIONARY SPITFIRE MAIDEN

The revolutionary R/C equipment performed beautifully as advertised today. With the CG located 1/8 inch behind the instruction book recommendation and even when set on high control rates the ship was very stable, smooth, and a pure joy to fly and land. The three blade 11.75 X 6 modified Master Airscrew prop looks great and works very well on landings but it is a little shy on vertical thrust compared to my 40 Amp equipped ESC MK IX Spit equipped with an APC E 12 X 8 prop. The stock fixed gear is bent forward such that the front of the wheels are located directly below the leading edge of the wing.

The plan is to fly this new Spitfire mostly in overcast/cool weather and fly the older War Weary Spit on those hot sunny days that tend to do unpleasant things to the plane's upper surfaces.

Rolling in to attack.

Out.

The following URL brings up the most concise, non-technical (with technical references) discussion about the revolutionary THORIUM PLASMA BATTERY technology I have found on the web. ENJOY! Oh what fun we are going to have in the future of flight!

''mad thorium batteries'' typed in Yahoo and/or Google brings up some great information about thorium plasma batteries.
