John, not sure what you mean about setting the little tang. There appear to be two vacumn holes on either side of the base plate. Looks like it woud be the same effect regardless of mounting orientation. Is there something else I need to look at or adjust in the conversion?
I agree it acts like a fuel restriction, but the carb is loaded when I open the plate.
