I don't live too far from there,but I've never seen the actual ceremony in person.I'm not standing out in the cold to see how much winter is left.It's just an excuse to have one big party, and they do party.I took my daughter there one Feb 2, but in the afternoon and the town was full of people wearing groundhog hats,T shirts and carying around little stuffed groundhogs. There was also outside music,dances and a lot of food and a few drunks.Some people go by the wooley catapillar and the Farmers Almanac and get better results.
