I was there for 3 years, 1989-1992. I wanted to stay longer but unfortunately I couldn't make that happened. Both of my sons were born there in the hospital in Pordenone and have dual citizenship because of the way things work. I was stations at a remote site and because of that our medical care came from the Air Force Base in Aviano. They only had a medical clinic and all births at that time were done in hospital in Pordenone, so that's why my sons were born there. I really wish that I had been able to stay longer as I really enjoyed my time there in Italy .
