Mine will be arriving later today, Oriole I was with Paul and Cole when Paul was flying his, there was no problem with the gear, I believe that there was just over or real close to a pound of lead under the cowl, that was attached to the engine mount (Paul will know for sure). Mine will be electric and I hope if I stuff in some nice big 6 cell batteries under the hatch I will not need to add any weight. Power will be from an E-Flite Power 160, I know the box says its a 10 cell motor, but I have 2 that have been turning on 12S for years and not one issue from the motor.
I am really looking forward to getting this plane up to Sedona for the May fly weekend, looks like we could have some nice formation time :-)
