Check the reeds and the reed block. Located under the carb. look for cracks and chipped edges should be clean and straight. Also check that the fork is attached to the pump diafram so the pump works. If the engine was working before the rebuild it should work the same after the rebuild if it was done correctly. Also if it was running ok then it did not need rebuilding.
