All your answers are good. However when CA, then called "Hot Stuff", first hit the market, it was very expensive, back around 1970 or so. Hinges needed to stay put so I started and so did others, simply dropping by the "dollar store" and buying a bottle of wood tooth picks. place your hinge in any way, any glue and plug in one, or two toothpick centers (BIG BIRD HINGES) about an eighth inch from the edge. That hinge will stay put and any glue will do well to keep it that way. Smudge a little filler over the t-pick where cut-off and go on about your structuring, then a tad bit of sanding to make it "purty", If you have a crash, or heavy flying and it does pull out, anything else would have not survived.
