Here is some information. I'd agree with them regarding balance at 45%-50% (even 53%) of
inner wing chord (the outer wings sweep back). That's a calculation result based on 6° aerodynamic decalage, meaning about 2° geometric decalage for a true Clark Y (not a flat-bottom something), which has zero lift at -3.8° angle of attack, and a symmetric stab.
