I've been busy the last few weeks. Guess what. The Jug has flown again. Got two flights in 2 day ago. Lost the wheel on landing. No Damage, just the axle came out of the LG. I remounted it with some locktite and also put some locktite on the other set screw. The only problem I still need to address is the cowl screws. Half of them backed out during the first flight. I replaced them and made sure everything was tight. When I landed half the screws were gone again. They were just wood screws into hardwood but I'm going to redo them with T-nuts.
The nice thing was that the plane flew great. The ZP-62 ran flawless. ( Nice to be able to fly and not worry about the engine quitting.) The Electric retracts also worked great but I have to get used to how slow they are compared to air retracts. Another good thing is that I have to take some lead out of the nose. Since I removed the air tank the plane is now nose heavy. I'm having fun flying the jug again.
