Mine flew a 17 lbs, great flying airplane, I balanced it per manual, and would say to balance it slightly fwd of that for the first couple flights. Mine trimmed out with elevator in a nose down position, it flew and landed fine, dropped the nose in a stall, it just wanted the nose down trim
