Well, I finally got started on my Pursuit conversion. I had intentions of installing a 49mm Gravitix D50 I purchased a while back, but it was too tall to fit the transom! So I fitted it for a 40mm Powerjet (used to be sold by KMB) I had laying around. The previous owner had cut off the turning vanes (they
are a bit ugly) so I'll have the option of reinstalling or using a steering nozzle from a Graupner or other suitable type. The Powerjet requires you to remove quite a chunk of hull to fit. Not like most pumps which result in a hole in the transom and rectangular hole in the bottom. Heres the rough-in:
