Here's the issue. The difference between a 7 channel receiver and a four is only about $15.00. Sooner or later you'll move up to an airplane that has flaps or retracts and you'll spend money on a better one anyway. If you get the 7 channel now you can always move it from plane to plane and you'll save that way instead of having a four , then buying a seven for the second plane. Everytime I try to save by buying the lesser model I wind up spending more later. Just my 2 cents worth. Hope it helps.
