You could sign out the engines from a common pool, sleep with them and dream of the incredible aircraft you'll build someday, then when you get distracted by something else cool and shiny, just send it back. It would be like having a therapy dog for convalescence - all the pleasure without the commitment of ownership. No more guilt pains caused by foolish impulsive engine purchases.
