Well I have tried to start this engine with the factory settings and I have to squirt some fuel up into the venturi to get it to start. Once the engine is running it does not stop. I have the needle valve 3 turns out and I using my Sullivan starter to spin the engine for 7 seconds to get fuel up to the carb. I then open the throttle 1/4 and turn on the ignition. The engine does not start until I inject fuel into the venturi. I have only run the engine twice. Will the engine get easier to start after each run?. I have run the engine for two 15 minute runs. I am getting 10000 rpm with a MAS 14x6 prop and a good 2200 idle. It runs very well when after it starts but it is just hard to start. The instructions say not the mess with the factory low end setting until after Break-in but I think I my mess with it if the engine does not get easier to start the next two or three times. I got this engine because of the good ratings here on this thread. Thanks for any help and info you can provide.
