Doesn't seem that there are a lot of sailplane builds here so I thought I'd do one.
I'm a big Minimoa fan and I currently have a one from a Lanyu ARF. As there is a lot of plywood in the back and with a short nose, it needed a lot of lead in the nose to get it to balance per the plan. Thus a heavy glider but it still flies great.
So I've downloaded a plan for the two seat version of the Minimoa from Chris Williams. This has a longer nose moment so far less lead should be needed to balance her correctly. Also I'll try to keep the aft end as light as possible. My goal is to have it up and ready for the glider tow event we have at our field during the summer.
So I've ordered out the balsa from National. The balsa dust should be flying soon.
Here is what it should look like when I'm done.
