Default Cutting wire, tail reinforcement

Guys, what's the best method of cutting 12 ga silicone wire? I'm making some Deans extensions. I don't have the wire yet, just preparing. Also I'm getting pretty good with my new Tower RxR Corsair after dialing in some exponential, it helps. Any tips how to reinforce the vertical fin? It sometimes flips over in the grass. I'll double check the balance, I did add some lead to the nose, maybe it's too much and I also raked the main gears a little forward, axles are just at the leading edge. Maybe i need more "front". Also any suggestions for a tail wheel? the tiller on the factory supplied snapped off, it's not very substantial. Maybe just a skid? What have you used? Thanks again for all the support!
