The model is just under 1/4-scale and sized to house a Seidel 7-70 radial. At 32 lbs flying weight it flies very much scale-like with the Seidel. Model was scratched from modified Charlie Nelson plans ('92 Top Gun winner with a WACO cabin). Charlie was my mentor who got me into scale competition and was willing to share his hand-drawn plans with me and impart a boat-load of wisdom along with a love of scale models (WACO cabins in particular).

Great story and gorgeous model!
Thank you for sharing.
