2 speed/3 speed box for Nitro speed runs
Hi all,
I am building a speed run car with a nitro engine, looking at the best transmission setup to get the best top end, should I go with a single tall gear ratio or go with a 2 or 3 speed box to get the lower down acceleration then move into top gear.
I will be looking to run either a .28 or .32 engine - not sure what the highest gear ratio the engines can usually pull as I know I could just fit a really tall gear and the engine might pull it but would never max out.
What does everyone usually run?
