A local friend has several DLE35 and one EME35. All run very well. From watching them perform, the DLE may have the power edge but I wouldn't have any problems owning either engine. The EME picked up quite a bit of power during the break in process .... a more noticeable increase than some other engines. The EME comes with a very small muffler which translates to loud but the DLE 35 muffler isn't noted for being overly quiet. The EME uses 5mm prop bolts compared to the more common 4mm used on the DLE and other engines in that size range.

For me (and I own a DLE35) buying another 35 would boil down to which engine fit the application the best. If the rear exhaust would work out the best, I'd buy the DLE. If a side exhaust would fit the best, the EME would be high on the list.
