Default Reversed motor???

I attempted to reverse the shaft on my Turnigy 300 brushless motor as I do not want to use the prop saver that can not be removed. I want to use the prop adapter but I could not slide the shaft through to the front. Would not budge and I will destroy the motor if I keep at it.

Can I, instead, reverse the motor so that the rear of the motor is coming out the front (see 4th photo) and thus allowing me to attach the prop adapter? There is plenty of room in the plane's nose to allow the rotation of the motor and clear the permanently attached prop saver.

I would assume that I would simply need to reverse the order of the wires. And insert a new E-clip as it was destroyed at my attempt to slide the shaft forward.

I know it will look odd but I do not care about looks, I just want the plane flyable without having to buy a new motor with a removable prop saver.

Thank you for any help.
