There are engines yet were made in bump as well as pull start versions. Usually the race engines (often designated with "R" in the model didn't come with a pullstart offered. Given the engine you pictured appears to be a 12R with a pullstart, it would appear they did offer it in both configurations. Here's the caveat. Pullstart and bumpstart engines often have different crankshaft timing and sleeve timing - bump engines always make more power than pullstart engines.. Moreover the two WILL have different crankshafts. You will need a pullstart crank, backplate, one-way clutch bearing, starter shaft, and a pullstart to convert your bumpstart engine.
