I'm currently building a Great Planes PT-60 ( https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...t-Planes-PT-60 ) and I put flaps on it. I just cut the aileron stock for the flaps. On that plane, the ailerons are 28" long. I cut them so the aileron section is 10" long and the flaps are 18" long. Most of the 'work' done by a strip aileron is in the outer 1/4-1/3 anyway, so that should be sufficient. I figure if it needs more authority I'll just increase the throw a bit.
But to reiterate: for the flaps just cut the aileron stock.
