I find smaller scale pilots fit better in planes. The cockpits always seem a little too small (at least for Ziroli).
We have to also remember those WW II pilots were, mostly, on the short size (probably best for pulling G's).
I've seen pilot uniforms at Wright pat air force museum and they look like teenager sizes (of course, a lot of them were!).
A lot of them only weighed 120-150 pounds.
