First off....I know NOTHING about a Morton.

To check if its compression....inject enough oil into each cylinder to drip down around the pistonskirt/ring to allow the piston to seal. Treat each cylinder then give it a feel for increased compression and a try at starting. Also since its gas it will wash the oil off quickly.

If it works....consider running oil/more oil in the gas.
