Foam coring questions
I just purchased my vacuum bagging equipment. I’m unhappy with my wet layups. They come out ok, but I’m looking for a more consistent result. I’ve been using expending foam on my small builds to core my fuses, but I think I want to move to a full composite fuse layup.
what foam coring are you guys and gals using in your composite layups? How well does it shape when heated? Are you puncturing it for resin to pass thru when vacuum bagging? How expensive is it? Are you happy with the product and results?
Thanks for taking the time to answer. I’ve looked at various products and I can’t make a decision. I’ve ordered a couple pieces to experiment with. In the mean time I wanted to ask. I’m looking at some generic pvc foam board on amazon too. Just don’t know what to use....
